Ocean and Lake Frontage in Costa Rica is not purchasable and is protected by the government. All of the shore line on Lake Arenal is controlled by ICE the government owned Power Company. However, the amount of land between this 5.95 acre property and the shore line averages 100 feet (a one minute walk from your front door) with about 600 feet of shoreline in front of your property. You cannot build on it or plant on it, but you can use it for recreation as part of “your front yard.” Anyone could use this strip of land for recreation if they came by boat, but I have never seen anyone use it but us. You can see the strip around the shoreline in several of the photos. The vast majority of property around the lake is not easy or practical to walk to the lake and would require driving to the limited number of locations that have access. You can launch a boat from your property! Lake Arenal is blessed with the vast majority of its shoreline being virgin Rain Forest, like the 100+ acre peninsula across the bay from the property. You will see very few houses around the lake shore.
