I purchased these 2 timeshares in 2000 while living in Delaware. My family enjoyed going to both because of the short drive and close proximity to the beach and bay. We have since moved to San Antonio and with the hours I have been working have been unable to use these timeshares. We have traded several times through RCI for other resorts around the country. Both Lucayan and Lighthouse Point are well maintained and updated regularly. Lighthouse Point is walking distance to the Delaware State line. It has a view of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse. It has an outdoor hot tub at each villa. The unit sleeps 6 with 2 private bedrooms and baths. Washer and Dryer are in the unit. It has a Full Kitchen with Dishwasher. The deed is for red fixed week 40. You can exchange it through RCI or it can be exchanged through the resort for another week if available by contacting the resort. I have paid all fees through 2008. I have not used nor traded this years week at Lighthouse Point. You will be able to use the resort this year October 3 - October 10. This is included in whatever the final price is.
The other timeshare is deeded Week 12 Unit # 32 at Lucayan Condominiums. This is a late blue week. I have been there when it is warm and I have been there when it was cold. Each time we enjoyed the relaxation. This unit has an elevator and convenient parking underneath which provides ease in unloading personal luggage etc. This unit is easily handicap accessible. The unit also has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and sleeps 6. Washer and Dryer are in the unit. Full Kitchen is included. The unit has a large balcony with great views of the bay. It is located at 72nd Street on the bayside. It is near the middle of Ocean City.
I have contacted a lawyers office, Ayres, Jenkins, Gordy, Almand P.A., to find out what transfer costs would be and was quoted $125.00 each for the lawyer to do the paperwork, $40 each to record the deed with Worcester Cty. and $6.60 per thousand for transfer fee taxes. This comes to $330.00 + taxes based on the price.
The maintenance fees for 2008 were $530.00 for Lucayan and $555.00 for Lighthouse Point Villas. All Fees are paid for year 2008. Maintenance fees for 2009 will be due in Late January or early February.
